2025 Brick Township Master Plan

From pushing high-density housing to capitalizing on Lakewood and Howell overflow — and doubling down on “Sustainable Jersey” policies that promote urban-style expansion — Democrat Mayor Lisa Crate and her team are turning Brick into Trenton’s next experiment. They’re selling out our town for small dollars, putting Murphy’s playbook first and Brick last.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MASTER PLAN ELEMENT
(Page 24) Brick’s economic development
strategies will need to focus on:
• Retaining and expanding its commercial base;
• Leveraging its location to capture spillover growth from Lakewood and Howell; and Investing in infrastructure and workforce
development to remain competitive.

(Page 70)
Sustainable Jersey Certification:
Maintain and expand Brick’s participation in the Sustainable Jersey program to access grants, technical support, and recognition.

(Page 62) The Plan further advances the Township’s strategy: to expand the Village Zone and revitalize underutilized
commercial corridors through mixed-use development—particularly along Mantoloking Road, Drum Point
Road, Herbertsville Road, and Route 88.

We are appalled that Democrat Mayor Lisa Crate and her team have attacked the age of our mayoral candidate. Being 70 years old doesn’t disqualify you from being a public servant — it means you have experience, wisdom, and heart. Those are the same qualities that built Brick into the community we love. Lisa Crate and Heather DeJong claim to stand with seniors, but their actions tell another story. Their ageism is on full display, and it’s disgraceful.

Seniors make up a huge part of our town — many of them still work right here in Brick because Democrats keep raising taxes and the cost of living, making it harder for them to retire comfortably. This summer, our team visited over a dozen senior communities, hearing directly from residents about taxes, roads, and quality of life.

Our seniors deserve leaders who listen, respect them, and fight for them every single day. Tell Lisa Crate loud and clear: it’s good to be 70, and it’s great to be Brick.

If you know a senior who lives in Brick, share this message with them. They deserve to know the truth about who’s really standing up for them — and who’s making life harder for them through higher costs and bad leadership.

Three decades - that's how long the Sports Dome doesn’t get a tax increase. While Democrat Lisa Crate promised you a zero tax increase, developers were actually the ones who got it. And, in that deal, NO tax money will be paid to the school district.

The Democrats find ways to give developers a break and then blame others for tax increases. No more sweet tax deals for builders. Vote Column A on November 4th!

That government-looking survey you got in the mail? It wasn’t from the Township — it was a political campaign stunt. Our investigation found it came from Eileen Della Volle — former treasurer of the Brick Democrats, NJDSC committeewoman, Monmouth/Ocean LGBT Democratic Caucus rep, and yes… a member of Brick’s Board of Adjustment.

Mayor Crate signing off on this misleading survey is deeply disappointing. While she was on Council and now as Mayor, the issues have stayed the same — nothing gets fixed. Instead, we get a sprinkle of ribbon cuttings and temporary patch work during an election year to mislead the public into thinking they’re doing the best job possible — because they know they’ve gotten away with it for years. We demand transparency.

This election is the most critical in decades — either we let Crate and her allies turn Brick into a city, or we fight for a community we can be proud of for generations.

Far-left liberal money is pouring into Brick Township! Democrats see this election as their best opportunity to turn Brick an urban city.Campaign finance reports have shown the Brick Democrats and Mayor Lisa Crate’s team receiving donations from Mikie Sherrill’s Gateway to Leadership PAC, Ocean County LGBTQ+ Caucus, Asbury Park Education Association, Democratic Congressman John Pallone’s campaign, amongst others. We cannot allow the most liberal team in the history of Brick to get elected. Madeline Iannarone and her Republican team of Lisa Reina, Greg Cohen, and Perry Albanese will not allow Brick to become an overdeveloped liberal city. Vote Column A on November 4th!
